Lauryn Wicks is a mother whose youngest child has been struggling with substance use. In helping her son, Lauryn has become a recovery advocate and works to help get municipalities and the State of Pennsylvania to broaden their support for substance abuse and to expand the use of evidence based treatments. Lauryn has also spent time volunteering as a Parent Coach, helping other parents using some of the treatments she advocates for. This is her experience.
